Edelman’s Energy practice is looking for a Senior Account Supervisor. In this role, you’ll help run some of the Energy practice’s biggest accounts with some of the world’s largest, most innovative companies addressing challenges around climate change, energy security and environmental justice. You’ll have the opportunity to write, collaborate, and develop campaigns, serving clients across the energy spectrum including electric utilities, renewables such as wind, solar and storage, bioenergy, and clean energy technology.

Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to creation of communications plans aligned with client objectives
    • Demonstrate tactical proficiency and prior experience in integrated media solutions, including successful delivery of both earned and social media programs
    • Provide insights as to how the latest energy and sustainability trends impact client communications priorities
    • Serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate, addressing client issues thoughtfully and effectively
    • Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
    • Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels
    • Contribute and advance new communications ideas to solve complex client needs in an ever-changing energy landscape
    • Supervise and mentor staff by way of motivating, coaching, providing feedback, leading by example and the ability to support the team in prioritization of deliverables.
    • Contribute to new business wins including idea contribution, research, and proposal preparation

Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 6 years of full-time experience in public relations, government affairs, or public affairs
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.  A graduate degree in a related field is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Have preferably worked with corporate clients, in a government agency, or in-house in the energy or related industrial or technology space.
    • Interest in staying informed on topics such as the energy transition, climate change, sustainability, and environmental issues, and understanding the interplay of energy across various industries and in society
    • Have hands-on experience creating relationships with media correspondents and outlets
    • Possess exceptional research, writing, and editing skills
    • Demonstrate strong group presentation skills and the ability to problem solve on the spot and actively participate in group discussions
    • Be results- and solutions-oriented
    • Proven ability to manage large projects (including budgets) and to oversee small teams
    • Experience and confidence in functioning as a daily client contact
$79,000 - $115,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
