Edelman Global Advisory (EGA) is seeking a highly motivated and talented communications individual, with experience on the Belgian PR market, to join our successful corporate communications team. If you thrive as a quick learner and possess relevant experience in PR, corporate communications and media relations, this is the perfect opportunity for you. We are offering a Brussels based six-month paid internship, starting in February/March 2024, with an opportunity to work with a range of high profile clients.

We are looking for an individual with excellent communications, media relations and writing, skills. In this role you will flourish in a dynamic and multicultural environment, collaborating with national, international, and world-known companies across diverse industry sectors, including food & beverage, technology, financial services, mobility and health.

Job Responsibilities

The precise nature of activities will depend on the priorities and client work during the time of the placement, to be agreed upon. However, the responsibilities and tasks are likely to include the following:
·        Contributing to research, analysis, and the planning and development of communication and media strategies, while implementing programmes
·        Drafting press releases, social media posts, briefings, updates, and other communication materials
·        Developing meeting materials, events, and other activities involving clients, stakeholders, and media engagement
·        Liaising with Edelman teams across Europe and globally, ensuring smooth execution of client assignments
·        Monitoring media and/or political issues of interest
·        Assisting in the development of new business proposals, from generating creative ideas to conceptualisation and action planning
·        Be an enthusiastic team player

Requirements

·        Excellent spoken and written Dutch/Flemish language skills are essential, together with fluency in at least one other EU language
·        A knowledge of the Belgian media landscape and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·        Dynamic, quick-thinking, a good eye for detail and a positive approach with a self-learning attitude
·        Ideally, experience working with the Belgian media, social media and/or a good understanding of the media and platforms’ landscape would be an asset.

Please note that we are unable to consider internships shorter than six months, or internships that are part of a university degree programme. You must also have existing permission or a right to work in Belgium. Please include your cover letter.
