Edelman’s People Team is seeking a dynamic ambassador, trusted business partner, and consummate team player to join our people team (human resources) as Senior Manager, People Partner supporting our US Health Team based in New York. You’ll be joining a collaborative People team that is passionate about the work they do to support, grow, and retain the best talent in our industry. You will have the opportunity to lead talent strategies for key business units by creating strong partnerships with senior business leaders, talent acquisition, finance, and resource management.

This role will be based in our New York office in a hybrid model (combination of working in the office at least three days a week and from home).

Responsibilities and Expectations:

    • SKILLS:
    • Manage local and/or regional programs, initiatives, and projects for the US Health Team
    • Develop, roll out, and lead internal programs, best practices, and process improvements
    • Ensure programs and processes align to business strategies
    • Evaluate, inform, coach, and motivate employees, managers, and hiring managers
    • Display and coach others to exhibit sound judgment regarding full scope of work
    • Diplomatically navigate and leverage resources and stakeholders to provide mutually-beneficial solutions to problems, conflicts, and/or employee relations issues
    • Support and assist in developing internal strategies and implementation plans
    • Recruit, evaluate, coach, train and motivate employees and leaders
    • Exhibit and teach others exceptional project, time, and people management skills
    • Lead specialty function responsibilities and projects, such as interview processes, new hire onboarding, and/or diversity and inclusion initiatives 
    • Serve as strategic partner to employees, managers, hiring managers, and/or candidates to help resolve issues, make informed decisions, navigate workplace dynamics, and drive career growth
    • Positively impact culture that maps to the firm’s vision, mission, and values

Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 6 years progressive experience in Human Resources or a related field
    • BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

    • HR management certification/PHR/SPHR preferred
    • Experience in innovative HR management in a professional services environment
    • Advanced written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to and experience overseeing multiple projects and prioritizing appropriately under pressure
    • Ability to and experience in effectively managing and coaching people
    • Ability to and experience in efficiently and creatively solving problems
    • Ability to and experience in effectively leading trainings and presentations
    • Understanding of applicable employment laws and experience managing employee relations situations
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
$73,000 - $126,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
