About the Opportunity
Edelman Smithfield is seeking to add a smart, entrepreneurial, and constantly curious team member to our growing team. The candidate will be working on accounts and projects across the financial spectrum, ranging from retail banks and institutional asset managers to alternative asset managers and fintech clients.
 
We’re looking for a growth-oriented team member who understands business strategy and can contribute to and expand the ongoing growth and development of our team and practice. The candidate must also demonstrate a passion and ability for people development by mentoring, motivating, teaching and coaching others.

A Little More About What You’ll Do:

    • Lead multiple client accounts/projects with a focus on setting strategic direction and plans to help clients achieve goals 
    • Deliver superior written communications for external and internal audiences 
    • Plan and coordinate strategic communications programs, including earned and social media, executive position and owned content strategies 
    • Collaborate with senior leadership in identifying and developing opportunities for account growth 
    • Drive new business growth by identifying prospects and leading proposals 
    • Partner with Edelman marketing to produce intellectual property and events 
    • Supervise team members by motivating, coaching and consistently providing feedback 
    • Serve as daily client contact, addressing timely client issues thoughtfully and effectively 
    • Build and manage relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels as well as third parties and internal business partners to meet client needs 

Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 8 years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields
    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Have effectively managed multiple sizable accounts or work streams, including financials
    • Experience interfacing with senior executives, served as the daily client contact, and/or demonstrate solid client interaction skills
    • Proven ability to consistently make sound judgments, have superior written and verbal communications skills
    • Have driven new business proposals
    • Effectively motivate and manage teams and collaborate well
$133,000 - $178,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
