UEG is currently looking for a Director level team member in our Entertainment Sector, leading the day-to-day operation of our Film and IP practice. This is a great opportunity for someone with studio and/or agency experience to take the next step in their career, joining an agency with a wide array of Fortune 500 clients, and focusing on negotiating, and selling in, innovative Film and IP opportunities across our brand network, and beyond. Working closely with the EVP and VP’s in this sector, this individual will focus efforts on Film & IP, but will have purview into music, TV, digital, esports/gaming, and the broader agency offerings as well. This employee will assist in growing the business by delivering both a high level of client service to existing clients and identifying new opportunities to continue our growth and leadership in this industry. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Identifying, negotiating, and selling-through new business opportunities both from inside and outside the UEG/Edelman network. 
    • Mine for innovative opportunities with upcoming films, shows & IP content with industry partners (e.g. studios, networks, productions, platforms, etc.). 
    • Executional management/responsibility on key projects, along with oversight of team members responsible for bringing projects to life. 
    • Oversight and management of contracting process of key projects from start to finish.  
    • Scoping of opportunities. 
    • Collaborating with the broader UEG team on business development opportunities. 
    • Senior level oversight (problem solving / solution orientation) of key clients within the agency structure, from a subject matter expert perspective, working collaboratively with members of the R&P and Account teams. 
    • Working collaboratively with discipline leads in their respective areas (e.g. Film, TV/Streaming, etc.), as well as with the Business Development team. 
    • Provide expert knowledge and insight to help evaluate the potential impact and results of such programs against objectives and assist in securing new accounts and growing existing ones. 
    • Provide strategic counsel, guidance and leadership to staff, supervising one or more staff members, and ensuring the team's success by managing work quality and productivity levels. 
    • Foster and maintain relationships with senior-level client contacts, colleagues and external partners. 
    • Consistently hold self and staff accountable for behavior and performance. 
    • Seek and suggest process improvements and support positive change initiatives. 
    • Participate in the development and adoption of new products/services, team brainstorming sessions; leverage IP with clients. 
    • Superb networking, teamwork, negotiation, and interpersonal/diplomatic skills with ability to work effectively with stakeholders and colleagues to achieve a common goal. 
    • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience within a studio, and/or at an agency with directly relevant experience and knowledge in this space. 
    • Must have the ability and passion to sell, be a creative marketer and problem solver. 
    • Should have working knowledge of promotional partnership and product integration models in film, TV and streaming spaces. 
    • Highest level of client services experience with the ability to act quickly, strategically and thoughtfully. 
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization, crisply and succinctly. 
    • Motivated by an extremely collaborative and fast-moving environment. 
    • Should bring a love of solving strategic business challenges with creative solutions, in collaboration with our clients. 
    • Possess strong knowledge and passion of the entertainment (TV/Streaming, Film, Gaming, Music) industry, popular culture and future trends/opportunities shaping the way the world communicates. 
    • Should be a passionate self-starter who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
$65,000 - $94,000 a year
PAY RANGE: $65,000 - $94,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
