We are seeking a Research Analyst who possesses strong research and technical expertise and project management skills and demonstrates an aptitude for strategic thinking and problem-solving. The Research Analyst is responsible for contributing to the management and delivery of custom market research studies, media analyses (both traditional and social), and secondary research. 

This Research Analyst role would be roughly 50%allocated as part of a team that supports ad-hoc/crisis monitoring for a large client. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being agile, is a proactive communicator, and is energized by being on the cutting edge of news stories.  

Responsibilities:

    • Provide research support on large and mid-sized projects, including the development and execution of research studies, client presentations, project scoping, costing, and budget management  
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of client objectives and apply/recommend appropriate methodologies to meet these objectives 
    • Responsible for interpreting research data and insights while working closely with the Research Manager to create a compelling story  
    • Write questionnaires/discussion guides to meet research objectives with guidance from the Research Manager, leverage data tabulations/banners to conduct analysis, provide specifications on advanced analytic methodologies to the data science team, manage reporting and deliverables (primary research focus) 
    • Manage/use social listening tools, conduct desk research, scope third-party data specifications (secondary research focus) 

Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 2 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research 
    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated experience in media analysis/measurement related to public relations, marketing, and communications  
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – preferably with an eye toward presentation design 
    • Knowledge and experience using a wide variety of secondary research tools such as social media analysis platforms (Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Synthesio, Cision, NetBase), as well as trend analysis tools (eMarketer, Mintel, Google Trends, or WARC)  
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills 
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize/manage multiple deadlines within a project scope and budget 
    • Effective client management (internal or external) skills  
    • Positive, collaborative attitude and approach 
$48,000 - $67,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
