We are looking for a Research & Strategy Intern to join our Strategy team at Edelman. This position will support our Strategy and other business teams on various projects which require industry/market research, audience insights, competitive analysis, and strategic planning.
 
Solving problems through a marketing communications lens is an interdisciplinary challenge. Research is the foundation of this process so we’re hoping our Research & Strategy Intern has the curiosity and courage to master new research skills, study new industries/categories and take on new challenges. But don’t worry - you are not expected to know everything. Adequate support and mentorship will be provided along the way.
 
About The Internship
This is a full-time internship program for a period of 6 months. It is based in Singapore.

What you will do

    • Research & Analysis:
    • Assist project teams in conducting in-depth research on industry, market, media, culture, competitor and audience to identify gaps and opportunities for client projects/campaigns/new briefs.
    • Understand the various research tools available and actively use them to offer insights for better, more data-driven work.
    • To assist in knowledge management matters – including overseeing and managing the martech/media analysis/social listening tools and processes.
    • Support in any qualitative research such as focus group discussions and interviews.
    • Collaborative Strategy Development:
    • Support Strategy leads in unearthing and turning insights into strategic direction for projects/campaigns/new briefs.
    • Participate in creative brainstorm/ideation sessions.
    • Continuous Learning and Support:
    • Assist project teams in other general research work.
    • Assist Strategy team in other administrative work and proactive projects – including participating in our Strategy newsletter.

What we're looking for

    • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or any related field.
    • Good research skills; experience working with data is a plus but not a must.
    • Interest in keeping up to date with the latest in pop culture, social media trends, and current events.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes, technologies and tools.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Optional but good to have: Knowledge of martech/media analysis/social listening tools such as Brandwatch, Newswhip, Emplifi, GlobalWebIndex or other similar platforms.
