Edelman, a leading global communications marketing firm, is looking for an organized and passionate VP to work on a new Canadian client with integrated campaigns. Reporting to the EVP Brand, this role is based in Toronto.

    • Provide strong leadership and counsel to clients to help them identify issues and opportunities

    • Contribute to the vision, direction and culture of the agency via participation in the leadership team 
    • Is seen by the client as a trusted partner truly vested in their success 
    • Maintain a deep and thorough understanding of the client’s business and category 
    • Builds strong trustful relationships with senior clients and works to establish wide client relationships across all team members 
    • Models and builds strong, collaborative and open relationships with team members 
    • Leads in the accurate identification of the problem to be solved and appropriate options 
    • In partnership with the creative & strategy leads, are responsible to ensure creative product is delivered against client’s creative vision and standards 
    • Responsible for educating and fostering a desire for creative excellence from the client 
    • Responsible for building a desire to produce excellent creative product within account team 
    • Has persuasive and commanding presentation skills 
    • Is able to adapt communications to different team member levels to ensure understanding 
    • Ensures all team members (including executive/leadership) are up to date on business as required 
    • Ultimately responsible for: Revenue, financial targets, organic growth; All account management issues; Account staffing, fit and workload management 
    • Responsible for the growth and development of all members of their account team 
    • Expected to establish strong, trustful relationships with team members to foster team collaboration and positive attitude 

Qualifications

    • 10-15 years of experience working in an integrated agency environment with experience in both traditional (TV/radio/OOH) & digital 
    • Senior level enough to not just lead the business on all client business, but grow the business organically (for one of the largest accounts) 
    • An ability to build trusting and respectful relationships with your clients and internal teams 
    • High level of understanding regarding insights and strategy 
    • Experience managing teams of 5+ individuals 
    • Huge asset if candidate has experience in retail 
    • Ability to manage long term, multi-million-dollar engagements with numerous stakeholders, project tracks and teams 
    • Comfortable interacting with clients at various levels and industry backgrounds from C-Suite to administrative support staff 
    • Strong ability to manage and set client expectations
