What’s the opportunity?
- We are looking for a Tax Accountant to join our Transactional Tax team in Argentina. This role is critical in ensuring full compliance with local tax regulations, particularly in Turnover Tax (Impuesto sobre los Ingresos Brutos – IIBB), Convenio Multilateral, and the provincial/CABA withholding and collection regimes. The position will also support the transactional tax team in process optimization and day-to-day compliance. If you have a strong background in Argentine tax accounting, with proven experience in IIBB and provincial tax regimes, this is a great opportunity to grow your career in fintech.
What will I be doing?
- Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and file tax returns related to IIBB, Convenio Multilateral, and IIBB withholding and collection regimes in Argentina.
- Tax Research & Analysis: Monitor and interpret changes in Argentine tax regulations, with a focus on provincial and local taxes, and assess their impact on the company.
- Transaction Review: Analyze and review financial transactions to ensure the correct application of IIBB and related tax treatments.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with finance and technology teams to improve and automate local tax processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with legal, operations, and product teams to ensure alignment on tax-related matters affecting Argentina.
What skills do I need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of proven experience in Argentina with IIBB, Convenio Multilateral, and provincial/CABA withholding and collection regimes.
- Knowledge of transactional taxes (e.g., VAT Digital, provincial regimes) is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Advanced English level.
