We are builders, we never run from a challenge, we are customer-centric, and if this sounds like you, we know you will thrive in our team.
What will I be doing?
- Framework Ownership: Set the technical vision for our internal application framework stack, defining conventions, project archetypes, and lifecycle management for libraries and tooling.
- Platform Engineering: Design, build, and maintain core platform components (SDKs, shared services, CI/CD pipelines) in Golang and Java, enabling product teams to ship quality code quickly and safely.
- Architecture & Standards: Champion best practices in microservice design, domain-driven design, clean architecture, and twelve-factor principles; review and approve RFCs that impact how we deploy code company-wide.
- DevEx Enablement: Create self-service developer actions, golden-path templates, and automated guardrails (linting, static analysis, vulnerability scanning) to streamline the developer experience.
- Cloud & IaC Expertise: Provision and manage AWS resources with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CDK), implement GitOps workflows, and drive adoption of Kubernetes-native patterns (Helm, Argo CD).
- Reliability Engineering: Embed observability (metrics, traces, logs) by default; standardize SLIs/SLOs and incident-management playbooks across services.
- Security by Design: Integrate secure-coding guidelines, secrets-management, least-privilege IAM, SBOM generation, and supply-chain-security checks into the SDLC.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Serve as technical referent for a multi-disciplinary platform team; coach engineers, run architecture reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Security, and Infrastructure teams to align roadmaps, manage technical debt, and ensure platform capabilities meet business needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Track industry trends, evaluate new technologies (service mesh, eBPF, WASM, etc.), and pilot innovations that keep our platform ahead of scale and compliance demands.
What skills do I need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience building large-scale backend or platform systems, with deep proficiency in Golang and Java.
- Proven track record designing and operating cloud-native architectures on AWS (EKS, ECS/Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Hands-on mastery of containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), Infra-as-Code (Terraform/CDK), and modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD).
- Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures (Kafka, SNS/SQS), and REST/gRPC API design.
- Experience creating reusable SDKs, libraries, or internal developer platforms.
- Solid grasp of software-security fundamentals: OWASP, IAM, secrets management, dependency-scanning, SBOMs.
- Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and performance-profiling tools.
- Good communication skills in English; able to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of agile methodologies, trunk-based development, and continuous delivery principles.
