Overview

1st shift- Monday thru Friday
Installs, maintains, repairs and troubleshoot refrigeration, air conditioning, split systems, air volume equipment humidification and dehumidification systems and associated control systems. Ensure compliance with CFC regulations and qualifications, minimizing losses and maximizing recovery.

Snapshot of Responsibilities:
- Installs, maintains and repairs current and new HVAC and refrigeration equipment including but not limited to compressors, pumps, condensers, evaporators, valves, all controls and related equipment and parts.
- Performs PM activities on multiple types of refrigeration and HVAC equipment including filter changes and coil cleaning and other PM activities to minimize downtime.
- Utilizes building management systems and equipment controls to monitor facility equipment, manufacturing areas and refrigeration equipment for proper operation.
- Perform routine repairs of facilities HVAC equipment and systems in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications with minimal supervision.
- Assists with building renovation projects involving refrigeration, HVAC, humidification, or dehumidification equipment.
- Performs day-to-day facilities activities including but not limited to moving equipment and minor building repairs, etc.
- Performs associated tasks such as completing paperwork and maintaining equipment logbooks and all required documentation related to maintenance and repair activities according to GMP and FDA regulations.
- Assists the Senior HVAC Technician with installs and repairs as necessary to insure continual operation of all HVAC equipment and systems.
- Assists in maintaining a spare-parts inventory and preparing part orders when necessary.
- Must follow all GMP and company safety regulations and guidelines.
- 2 years trade school and/or previous HVAC maintenance troubleshooting and repair work experience.
- Universal CFC certification required and maintained.
- PC literate, experience with standard office software tools.
- Ability to use calculator and measuring tools/basic math skills required.
- Possesses the ability to be on call to work nights, weekends, or holidays to insure continual operations of all in-house HVAC systems.
- Must possess a mechanical aptitude, can use a variety of sophisticated hand and power tools, strong verbal interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively with everyone.
- Must be able to work in heat, cold, wet, indoor, and outdoor working conditions.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or heavier.
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift, climb ladders, and perform repetitive motion daily.
