As a VP of Engineering, you will lead the data & analytics engineering teams based out of Dublin, Ireland. This is an opportunity to create innovative solutions in a visible role where analytical skills, leadership, mentorship, data engineering, and a solid architectural background can be put to excellent use on the most impactful and cutting-edge projects!
A rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor to help shape the technology, product, and business here at D&B, Dublin. You will have deep knowledge with big data analytics systems, public cloud (AWS/Google), and data engineering. To be successful, you will have prior global leadership experience, be able to collaborate with cross functional teams as well as executive leaders to deliver powerful data analytics solutions. Communication skills, building trust and strong relationships with our engineering teams are key for this VP, Engineering position.
As VP of Engineering, you will have
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, Cloud architecture (AWS/GCP) and enterprise grade application deployments
- 5+ years of experience in design and implementation of Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Apache Spark, AWS EMR, etc.,) and familiarity with data architecture patterns (data warehouse, data lake, streaming, Lambda/Kappa architecture).
- Managing production-level workloads, including end-to-end performance, availability, scale, and optimization of platforms
- Experience with large scale big data (Hadoop) or Databricks implementation in last five years
- Must have prior experience in developing strategic documents for executive leadership consumption, work effort estimates, project plans, budget estimates, and roadmaps.
- Must have experience building out Operating Model for large data & analytics teams working on multiple advanced analytics implementations simultaneously
- Experience and exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Machine Learning, Python, Spark, or Scala is highly desired
- Experience managing global engineering teams (50+ resources) and proficient interpersonal skills
- Advanced degrees in Computer Science or related subject area, or 10+ years of related experience
