Team Overview:
This role will lead ITOM (IT Operations Management) and the CMDB team.  The leader will work in a highly collaborative manner with the ServiceNow development staff, ServiceNow system administrator, and other members of the ServiceNow platform team.

Key Responsibilities

    • This position will lead the CMDB team, including CMDB Discovery, CMDB Data Architect, and CMDB admin.
    • ITSM and ITOM are foundational for IT. Cross Dependencies exist within Incident, Change and CMDB.
    • Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, Orchestration and Cloud Management are key roles that makeup the ITOM support. model. The CMDB Director will have overall leadership and governance for ITOM roles.
    • Oversight of Event Management integrations with CMDB.
    • Maintains a tight integration with monitoring teams.
    • Determine and leads adds of new services to ServiceNow.
    • Works closely with business and application leads.
    • Ensures automated workflows are maintained and healthy.
    • Works with business owners and IT to automate new processes.
    • Maintains and leads governance, policies, and direction of CMDB.
    • Works closely with SAMPro and ITSM.
    • Maintains cloud management discovery.
    • Involved in request and provisioning of Mid Servers required to support the ServiceNow CMDB and platform.
    • Manage communication during major incidents to both business and IT stakeholders.
    • Verify service is restored and conduct a review of major incidents once resolved.
    • Create procedures to deal with problems and prevent recurrence .

Key Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent professional experience.
    • 10+ years leadership experience. Preferable 7+ years in production support of CMDB Data Governance on the ServiceNow Platform.
    • ServiceNow Foundational and Advanced system administration experience.
    • Understanding of Business Applications and their functionality in the ITIL model.
    • A Comprehension of, and the ability to communicate and implement the ITIL CMDB Model.
    • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and the able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Highly-collaborate team player who can build strong relationships at all levels of the technology and business organizations.
