Job description

•The Senior ETL developer is responsible to design and fill a data warehousing environment for our company. The duties will include consulting with the data management team, reviewing the storage needs of the company, creating a data warehouse, extracting data from company servers, filling the new warehouse, and testing it upon completion.

•To ensure success as an ETL developer, you should have extensive knowledge of coding languages and warehouse architecture and be able to clearly communicate your ideas to the company. Ultimately, a top-level ETL developer can create a highly efficient and customized warehouse environment that perfectly suits the data storage needs of the company.

•Select the appropriate technology stack and tools and translate the business requirements into technical artifacts.

•Conduct data analysis to comprehend the pertinent data sets and develop data models that cater to all the requirements.

•Ingest data from various sources and perform required data transformations to ensure smooth loading into the target

•Acts as a senior developer in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.

•Troubleshoot applications and work directly with various application/ business/support team partners

•Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

•Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using multi-cloud environment (AWS and GCP).

•Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.

•Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

•Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and AWS regions.

•Create data tools and custom solutions for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.

•Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

•Create Technical design documents and understand the business

•Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

•Strong analytic skills related to working with structured, semi-structure, and unstructured datasets.

Essential Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years. of hands-on dev and support exp. in one or multiple Data Engineering projects.

•Proficiency in warehousing architecture techniques, including MOLAP, ROLAP, ODS, DM, and EDW

•7 years of experience with detailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, ETL/ ELT, reporting/analytic tools, and data security, SQL Server

•10 years of strong SQL and Stored Procedure knowledge,

•7+ Years’ experience with relational SQL NoSQL, and other databases including Postgres, ClickHouse, Neptune, and Cassandra. 

•10+ years of experience in data modelling, including Dimensional Modelling and Data Vault.

•8+ years of analysing data meticulously and broad exposure to ETL tools. (Ex:, Talend, SAP BO and BODS, DataStage, Power BI, SSIS).

•5 years of experience in designing data warehouse solutions and integrating technical components

•5 years of experience leading data warehousing and analytics projects in cloud, including using AWS technologies Redshift, S3, EC2, Lambda, data lake, Data-pipeline and other big data technologies

•5 years of experience with one or more modern programming language (Python, Ruby, Java, etc.) with preferable experience in building data migration frameworks

•Experience in mentoring ETL developers to execute project objectives and scale technically as per the market needs

•5+ Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

•Strong analytic skills related to working with structured, semi-structure, and unstructured datasets.

•Create Technical design documents and understand the business

Desired Qualifications:

•Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.

•A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.

•Good to have exposure to BI visualization tools - Tableau, Sisense

•Good to have exposure to big data technologies like Hive, Presto, Spark etc. 

•Knowledge understanding of emerging data platforms and analytic tools Hadoop, Aster R

•5+ years of Experience working with agile development methodologies such as Sprint and Scrum

•Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks meet aggressive time frames
