The VP of Cybersecurity Operations & Engineering is a critical leadership role responsible for owning and executing the vision of our Cybersecurity Operations & Engineering capabilities. The successful candidate will be an experienced security leader with a proven track record of success in leading & building large-scale cybersecurity operations with a strong foundation built on managing risk and a deep understanding of the latest industry trends, technologies and threat actor behaviors.

Essential Key Responsibilities

    • Set a vision and roadmap for the development of Cybersecurity Operations & Engineering technical capabilities
    • Oversight and continuous maturity of our threat intelligence, detection and response, detection engineering, system & network security, endpoint security, cloud security operations, and vulnerability management capabilities.
    • Ensure cohesive connectivity across key stakeholders for cyber incident response and incident management plans and procedure
    • Stay current with industry trends and developments to continuously improve the firm’s ability to defend against advanced threats
    • Proactively champion new opportunities for automation, innovation, and technical excellence, bringing thought leadership and deep technical expertise to drive execution
    • Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive security tooling strategy, including tool consolidation and rationalization, and the measurement and management of tooling effectiveness
    • Oversee infrastructure vulnerability management capabilities and provide asset owners with risk-based remediation plans to reduce risk associated with vulnerabilities
    • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring that security solutions and services provided by third-party vendors meet the organization's needs and requirements
    • Engage with key stakeholders to develop and grow relationships within the security, technology, and business organizations
    • Develop and publish technology standards for operating systems, database/middleware, network, and endpoint technologies
    • Develop methodologies to audit operational excellence and measure continuous maturity
    • Provide leadership, guidance, coaching and direction to the cybersecurity operations & engineering teams

Experiences

    • Extensive knowledge of the current cybersecurity threat landscape and industry best practices
    • Proven experience developing, leading, and managing Cybersecurity Operations & Engineering teams
    • Proven ability to develop and execute security strategy and roadmap
    • Understanding of risk management life cycles in the data center and cloud environments
    • Proven experience in conducting incident response, incident management and threat mitigation
    • Experience in network, infrastructure and end user security operations and infrastructure vulnerability management
    • Experience in design, deployment, and management of complex security architectures
    • Experience leading the technical implementation and maintenance of security products and tools
    • Proven experience leading and building vulnerability management programs and tooling
    • Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and experience with multi-cloud service providers
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to build effective relationships with third party providers, suppliers, and partners.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
