This position will work with the Senior Director, Network Engineering to lead our Network Engineering team, a team of brilliant, friendly, and energetic solutions architects, developers, engineers, and project managers who strive to deliver best of breed custom solutions to our customers. You will be responsible for the Cloud Network design, implementation, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Work across all levels of the business, with emphasis on providing expert cloud network infrastructure support to IT management and users, with a focus on AWS and GCP.
    • Set technical solutions for new products that use our network security infrastructure or cloud-based connectivity models.
    • Deploy and manage a consolidated internal and external DNS infrastructure and strategy.
    • Define, measure, and analyze key metrics to assess overall effectiveness of LAN/WAN network performance, capacity, cloud quotas and associated monitoring.
    • Manage cloud network implementations, configuration, and routing changes, and performs equipment upgrades. Adhere to and support change, incident, and problem management ITIL processes.
    • Proactively identify, recommend, and champion emerging technologies, monitoring solutions, and processes that will enhance the end user experience that can be supported by Technology.
    • Effectively communicate and interact with internal users, vendors, and customers. Use problem management techniques to solve difficult technical problems.
    • Manage staff in day-to-day roles of operations & incident management. Work with the Incident Director to monitor workload of staff.

Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related disciplines, and 7+ years of experience in related areas of Network Engineering.
    • Expert knowledge of implementing enterprise level cloud architecture with a focus on network design and implementation. AWS & GCP with a focus on GCP.  Should have some networking certifications including CCNA, CCNP, etc.
    • Expert knowledge of DNS infrastructures, network infrastructures, networking protocols, standards and associated configurations, VPN access, Firewalls, Proxies and other security appliances and solutions.
    • Must be able to demonstrate thorough knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, HSRP, GLBP, VSS, multi VRF, BGP, MPLS, OSPF, TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, SNMP, Cisco wireless (WLC & ISE), Windows Networking.
    • Experience with deployment and management of Amazon Web Services (AWS) VPCs and Direct Connects & GCP VPCs at an Enterprise level.
    • Experience with high level programing languages such as Python or Java or familiarity with Infrastructure as code specifically Terraform.
    • Experience with using Ansible to automate network configuration standardization.
    • Understand the NOC role and functionality and the ability to manage day to day incidents and problem resolutions.
    • Experience in implementing proactive network management and monitoring solutions.
    • Strong knowledge of business environment, network and security infrastructures and supported services.
    • Strong problem management skills, including the ability to identify and assess risks and determine corrective actions; and the leadership ability to create vision, scope and plan future network and security infrastructure requirements.
    • Experience with managing multiple vendors, reviews of new features, and negotiation skills; and the ability to lead network associated deliverables and provide technical leadership and cross training to less experienced engineers.
