As a Software Engineer II with Dun & Bradstreet, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge data processing capabilities.  You’ll be working in a stimulating, collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement within an agile development process, where developers are responsible for end-to-end working software.
 
We’re looking for someone who has very good knowledge-of and is experienced in, software development. You’re able to prioritize well, communicate clearly and bring an analytic approach to producing innovative solutions. As part of the Trade team, you’ll:

    • Design and Develop cutting-edge Data Engineering applications
    • Be expected to write simple code that lends itself to low-cost maintenance and footprint, extensibility, test-ability, and performance
    • Quick learner who wants to grow and execute your knowledge and delivery in Software Engineering
    • Make informed decisions quickly and taking ownership of services at scale

About you:

    • You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
    • You will have up to 5+ years of experience developing commercial software in an agile environment.
    • You will have experience in building tools/instrumentation for monitoring, logging, reporting frameworks/tools/services for large distributed systems
    • You will have expertise in Java
    • You will have experience using one or more commercial databases and writing queries in SQL
    • You will be a problem solver who looks forward to the challenge of solving difficult challenges and learning new technologies and continuously growing and learning your software craft
    • You will be detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
    • You will be self-led with an ability to work in a collaborative team environment
    • You will have strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills

Nice to have:

    • Some experience with any of the following will be a plus:
    • GCP and/or AWS
    • BigQuery, Docker, Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, SQS
    • Build/release tools such as Jenkins, GITHUB
