In this diverse role, you will strengthen our international team by supporting and optimizing our database applications and migrating current functions from T-SQL to Java. You will be involved in renovating existing systems in close cooperation with our team and business partners within the D&B Group.
Responsibilities:
- Managing our German company database
- Migrating parts of our database functions from T-SQL to Java
- Monitoring performance and ensuring the availability of agreed database functionalities
- Expanding the database according to new requirements
Requirements:
- A university degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience with MS SQL Server/T-SQL
- Good knowledge of Java development (Spring Boot)
- Good knowledge of MySQL
- Strong communication skills in both German and English
- Independent and structured working style
- Sense of responsibility and reliability
- Willingness to learn new things and apply them effectively
- Curiosity and interest in contributing your own ideas
Nice to have:
- Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
- Familiarity with GitHub, Bamboo/Harness, Kubernetes
