The Role: As a Senior DevOps Engineer in the D&B Hoovers Engineering team you will join a team of brilliant, friendly and energetic engineers, solutions architects, developers, QA engineers and project managers who strive to deliver best of breed custom solutions to our customers. Participate in Agile activities and ceremonies, including sprint planning meetings, daily standups, and regularly scheduled retrospectives.

Collaborate with Development, Quality Assurance and DevOps engineers to streamline the delivery of the Hoovers platform in GCP and AWS.

Help create advanced automation orchestration solutions in tools such as Jenkins, Harness, and GIT Actions.

Develop cutting edge software deployment solutions and leverage industry proven tools such as Ansible, Chef, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Developing DevOps tools, dashboards, and monitoring solutions using proven development languages such as Python, Ruby, PowerShell and JavaScript.

Create and maintain robust, fault tolerant cloud-based infrastructure using tools such as Ansible, Biceps, Salt, Terraform, Chef, and Puppet

Design automation and infrastructure for Windows, Linux, and Containerized solutions in a business-critical global multi-cloud environment

Debug and identify perform RCA’s on our business critical globally supported cloud platform

Strong experience with environment provisioning and configuration management tools (Terraform).

Over all 8-10 yrs of experience in DevOps technologies

Strong experience with scripting / programming languages such as: JavaScript, Java/Scala, .NET, Ruby, Python and Node.JS).

Experience with Jenkins, Harness, and similar tools that use scripted delivery pipelines.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an automation first mindset.

Experience identifying, automating, and streamlining software development and QA processes.

Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) implementations using industry standard tools such as Chef, Ansible, Terraform and CloudFormation.

Good understanding of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.

Good understanding of micro-services, web-based applications, and REST APIs.

Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform, Ansible, Python, Ruby, and PowerShell

Organization skills with high attention to detail.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal.

Willing to learn new skills and implement new technologies.

Must have the ability to be on call.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.

Minimum three to five years of high-tech industry and/or IT work experience in DevOps roles
