The Democratic National Committee is hiring an Organizing Analyst to support data product development and improve our voter outreach efforts. The Organizing Analyst will help us develop data products related to election results mapping, voter file processing and QC, and templated workflows. 

The Organizing Analyst will report into the Strategic Analytics Lead and work closely with the Product and Digital Organizing Teams. The Analyst will build reports, conduct strategic analysis and provide technical guidance to support our data product development and organizing efforts. From building audiences for outreach to digging into Voter File trends, this role will help us reach and cultivate more volunteers and voters online.

Who we are:

    • The DNC Program Analytics team sits within the Technology department at the DNC. We are a team of analysts and technologists focused on improving the DNC’s strategic programs from national field organizing to grassroots fundraising to voter protection. As part of the overall Tech team, you will be working with a fully remote, distributed team living in 19 states and from a variety of backgrounds. Who you are:

    • We’re looking for an Analyst to support the DNC’s data products, as well as key organizing initiatives for Democrats up and down the ballot.

Core responsibilities of this role will include:

    • Strategic Analysis: Dig into voter file trends and quality issues. Perform analysis to understand trends in volunteer engagement, areas of program strength, and opportunities for improvement. 
    • Stakeholder Management: Partner with key stakeholders to develop reporting and data standards across voter file data products and organizing tools.
    • Reporting: Set up reporting to empower our team with key insights into program performance and data file trends. Help establish connections across different DNC products and programs.
    • Targeting: Building audiences and ensuring targeted outreach for digital organizing teams.

    • In addition, this role may also include, but is not limited to:
    • Ad Hoc Work: Manage ad hoc data requests from stakeholders, ensuring quick turnaround while maintaining data accuracy and quality, especially involving support for VAN.
    • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Role qualifications:

    • Be proficient at SQL, Excel, and Google Sheets
    • Have experience working with data in a political setting
    • Have experience with some type of data visualization or reporting
    • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience explaining technical concepts to both technical and no-code audiences
    • Be curious, collaborative, and humble – ready to work with a diverse, distributed team to solve interesting problems together.
    • Have excellent stakeholder management skills and a track record of building consensus around technical concepts;
The starting salary for the Organizing Analyst position is $80,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is not eligible for overtime wages and is fully remote. This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2024. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
