The Democratic National Committee is looking to hire an email strategist to help run one of the largest and most active grassroots mobilization programs in politics. You will be responsible for writing and executing grassroots campaigns using fundraising and mobilization tactics to achieve our ambitious goals, including raising tens of millions of dollars in grassroots donations from as many Americans as possible.

Responsibilities:

    • Manage the email program’s deliverability, ensuring we maintain pristine placement across all inbox providers.
    • Collaborate with analysts and key vendors to plan and implement reactivation campaigns with the goal of engaging inactive email subscribers.
    • Assist with the execution of complex automation, segmentation, and optimization programs, while ensuring the highest standard of quality.
    • Produce clean, professional user experiences on tight timelines, with coordination across the Mobilization Team and with outside partners.
    • Ability to jump in on rapid response drafting and production as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of email and SMS fundraising experience on a campaign, committee, or mission-oriented organization.

    • You are a strong team player and are comfortable collaborating with others to accomplish goals.
    • Strong understanding of email and SMS fundraising best practices — including how to successfully integrate automation into programs.

The starting salary for the Senior Email Strategist position is $72,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
