The Democratic National Committee is hiring a Deputy Director of Social Media Analysis to support our online efforts to help elect Democrats in 2024. As Deputy Director for Social Media Analysis you will be responsible for developing compelling, persuasive content for publication across social media. You will work closely with social media account managers, video and design, paid media, surrogates, and coalitions teams to develop tailored content that effectively promotes Democratic messages online. The Deputy Director will report to the Director of Social Media Analysis. 

Responsibilities:

    • Leverage social listening, survey, and social media trend data to develop highly-tailored, persuasive digital content ideas across major social media sites, audience segments, and media types.
    • Work with owned account managers, video and design, paid media, surrogate, and coalition teams to develop and operationalize your ideas into outbound content.
    • Develop content strategies to counter online misinformation.
    • Work with analytics and survey teams to evaluate and provide recommendations on improving outbound and surrogate content performance.
    • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Requirements:

    • 3+ years of experience in social media content creation in a corporate, political, government, or non-profit setting.
    • Ideal candidates will be experienced digital content creators with a proven track record.
    • Strong knowledge of social media — including trends, key influencers (political and non-political), and marketing strategies. 
    • Experience with graphic design and digital video and audio production. 
    • A strong creative eye and ability to think outside the box;
    • A basic knowledge of US politics and key 2024 issues. 
    • A self-starter; you are willing to take the initiative, connect with stakeholders across teams, collaborate, and work hard to get the job done;
    • You must be in D.C. or be willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. or Wilmington, DE area.

The starting salary for the Deputy Director of Social Media Analysis position is $80,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2024.
