The Tri-State Finance Coordinator position will assist the Tri-State finance team with planning and executing an ambitious fundraising plan for major donors in the Tri-State Region of the United States including New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. 

This position is based in Washington, DC or New York City. The Tri-State Finance Coordinator will manage day-to-day operations and administrative functions for the Tri-State finance team, including database management, tracking and updating daily and weekly reports, writing meeting and event briefing materials, and assisting with donor prospecting and outreach as appropriate. The Tri-State Finance Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining their own donor portfolio and calendaring surrogate events. The Coordinator will report to the Tri-State Finance Director and assist the Tri-State Finance Director on a daily basis.

The Coordinator will manage multiple projects at once, and must be detail and deadline oriented. This position requires periodic work on evenings and weekends. Travel is required.

In this position you will (Responsibilities/Duties):

    • Manage daily meeting agendas and priorities.
    • Update daily and weekly fundraising reports.
    • Manage regional donor databases and lists.
    • Write briefing materials for internal and external meetings and events.
    • Manage administrative functions including event materials.
    • Facilitate vetting processes for donors, surrogates, and event venues.
    • Oversee regional call-time.
    • Manage regional schedule and calendar for meetings and events.
    • Travel and staff surrogates at meetings and events.
    • Assist with donor prospecting, outreach, and maintenance as appropriate.
    • Support the Tri-State Finance Director and Tri-State Deputy with administrative and writing tasks.
    • Coordinate with internal DNC departments on behalf of the regional team.
    • Other duties as assigned to support the department.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field. 
    • 1-2 years campaign or political committee experience.
    • Working knowledge of NGP database is highly preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Google Suite.
    • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
    • Precise attention to detail.
    • Error-free written communications.
    • Ability to work and build relationships with leaders, staff, and members at all levels.
    • Travel required.

 The Tri-State Finance Coordinator position will require travel, which could be up to 15% of the time. The starting salary for the Tri-State Finance Coordinator position is $54,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. 

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek, and has an end date of November 15, 2024. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
