This position is based in DC, with the possibility of remote work. Reports to Training Director of the Association of State Democratic Committees, Democratic National Committee. Applications reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled

Responsibilities:

    • Supports in training Democratic Party leaders, staff, and activists on a variety of campaign tools and strategy.
    • Assists in the editing and design of all training curriculum.
    • Assists in the planning, development, and execution of all training events.
    • Responsible for managing logistical elements of training events and programs (both virtual and in-person).
    • Responsible for the management of Legacy Files and Victory Vault resource databases.
    • Responsible for managing all Training Department scheduling, logistics, budgeting, and contracts. 
    • Responsible for organizing process and workflow for the Training Department. 
    • Responsible for managing internal and external communications for the Training Department including monthly newsletter correspondence.   
    • Assists in all other tasks as designated by the Training Director and Deputy Training Director.

Skills and Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
    • Commitment to the Democratic National Committee and its core values;
    • 1-2 years of experience in a state or local Democratic Party is strongly preferred. Campaign experience is also highly desirable.
    • Ability to meet multiple deadlines and work in a fast paced environment.
    • Must possess excellent written communication skills. 
    • A strong background in operations, including logistics management, large scale event planning, coordination, and implementation is preferred. 
    • Must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and be solutions oriented.
Salary:
The starting salary for the BPI Training Associate position is $48,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for overtime wages. This is a full time position, based in Washington, DC, with the possibility of remote work.
