The Democratic National Committee is looking for an analytical, results-driven social media expert with a deep interest in fighting disinformation on social media platforms. The Director of Information Integrity will lead the DNC’s efforts to combat disinformation, effectively distribute factual content, and hold bad actors accountable. The ideal candidate for this role is eternally curious, enjoys data analysis, and has an almost obsessive interest in social trends.
Responsibilities:
- Establish effective strategies to combat disinformation.
- Track how disinfo spreads across social platforms and identify ways it can be neutralized.
- Manage a growing team and set ambitious goals for them.
- Share learnings and define practices campaigns, electeds, and other Democratic organizations can use to address disinformation.
- Collaborate with the DNC’s communications, creative, and research teams to combat disinformation and create effective messaging.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience working in social media analysis, research, social listening or the disinformation analysis space.
- Deep knowledge of social platforms, social trends, and influential publishers.
- Experience tracking the performance and distribution of social content.
- Experience using and interpreting social listening, media monitoring, and analytics tools.
- Demonstrated interest in politics and a commitment to improving how voters engage with social content.
- Experience managing important projects and working across teams to achieve goals.
- Ability to collaborate respectfully and effectively with others.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
- Strong organizational skills.
The starting salary for the Director of Information Integrity position is $92,200, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends.
