The Direct Marketing Manager works closely with the rest of the marketing team to assist with and manage production of printed marketing and fundraising materials for the direct mail and telemarketing programs at the DNC. The Marketing Manager will oversee the State Party Victory Fund program, help manage integrated campaigns with our online channels, and assist with managing program expenses.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Direct Marketing team to develop innovative and creative direct marketing and telemarketing campaigns that are integrated with our online channels.
- Coordinate integration with broadcast and peer-to-peer SMS programs, integrated ads, and email.
- Oversee mail and telemarketing copy through internal staff review.
- Manage State Party Victory Fund program for all 50 states, including executing strategy and planning for mailings, work with state chairs and executive directors to edit and approve copy.
- Manage budget for the State Party Victory Fund and allocate funds to the state parties and DNC.
- Track expenses and cash flow for the marketing department.
- Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience with direct mail or political fundraising on a campaign, committee, or mission-oriented organization
- Ideal candidate will be a team player, fast learner, and self-starter; you are willing to work hard to get the job done
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; you should have an eagle-eye for typos and errors and have a deep understanding of how to inspire people to action using the written word
- Solid understanding of direct marketing industry and trends
The starting salary for the Direct Marketing Manager position is $65,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
