The National Finance Associate assists the Director of Finance Operations and the National Finance Directors to manage and organize the needs and special projects of the finance team. The National Finance Associate works closely with members of the finance operations team, finance regional and coalition fundraising team, and finance leadership to ensure the department’s daily and weekly reports and agendas, as well as various special projects, are managed and organized. 

This position is based in Washington, DC. The applicant must be detail-oriented, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and have political campaign experience.

In this position you will (Responsibilities/Duties):

    • Update and manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports. 
    • Manage team-wide trackers, spreadsheets, and agendas. 
    • Manage the team’s vetting process. 
    • Manage the team’s email correspondence program. 
    • Assist in finance operations special projects. 
    • Assist with the finance team’s event correspondence program, as needed. 
    • Coordinate with internal DNC departments on behalf of finance leadership and the finance operations team.
    • Other duties as assigned to support the department.

What we will look for (Requirements):

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field. 
    • 1-2 years campaign or political committee experience.
    • Working knowledge of NGP database is highly preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Google Suite.
    • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
    • Precise attention to detail and strong copy editing skills. 
    • Error-free written communications.
    • Ability to work and build relationships with leaders, staff, and members at all levels.
    • Travel may be required.

Salary: The starting salary for the National Finance Associate position is $52,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.

The National Finance Associate position will require travel, which could be up to 1-15% of the time.
