The Democratic National Committee (DNC) Tech Team is hiring a Systems Administrator to provide support to our DNC, Coordinated campaign, and State Party staff! We are looking for someone who can ensure that the Democratic National Committee runs smoothly from a technical perspective, and ensures our staff can fight to win elections in every zip code. The ideal candidate will be Tier 3 support for the Coordinated Campaign and support the Coordinated IT Director and DNC IT Director in providing optimal support to DNC and State Party employees.

Responsibilities

    • Support our staff across the country to solve their most pressing technical needs
    • Manage long-term projects from start to finish, ensuring we execute efficiently. Communicate effectively with clients from both technical and non-technical backgrounds
    • Installation, configuration, support, and maintenance on networking equipment such as switches and routers.
    • Facilitate, create and manage system permissions and user accounts
    • Must have the ability to evaluate IT infrastructure and application solutions and make recommendations in support of our userbase
    • Increase the IT department’s workload efficiency through automation and simplification of IT infrastructure and ticket remediation
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may also frequently be required to communicate using the telephone, email, and in person with stakeholders
    • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Qualifications

    • 2+ Years of Experience
    • Dedication to customer service with strong interpersonal skills;
    • Prior experience in Systems or Network Administration
    • Strong knowledge of networking such as TCP/IP, routing and switching;
    • Experience with both computer and mobile device enterprise management systems such as Google Workspace and JAMF;
    • Knowledge of Zendesk ticketing system
    • Knowledge of macOS, iOS, and ChromeOS

The starting salary for the Systems Administrator position is $90,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Systems Administrator position will require travel, which could be up to 10% of the time.

This is a full-time, exempt position, and has an end date of November 15, 2024. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
