The Finance Coalitions Deputy Director assists the Director of Coalition Fundraising in overseeing the major donor fundraising efforts for numerous coalitions and groups.  The person in this position will focus their efforts on a variety of coalition groups on behalf of the campaign, including but not limited to,  Jewish, Muslim, Italian, and Young Professional. The Finance Coalitions Deputy Director works closely with the Director of Coalition Fundraising to create and implement a coalition-specific finance plan and support the execution of principal and surrogate travel and fundraising events. 

The applicant must be detail-oriented, possess strong communication, organizational, and successful fundraising skills, and have political campaign finance experience.

In this position you will (Responsibilities/Duties):

    • Oversee and assist in the execution of events with principals and surrogates within specific coalitions.
    • Provide support for the execution of travel in the coalition including scheduling donor meetings and creating briefing memos.
    • Manage a portfolio to fundraise from Jewish, Muslim, Italian, Young Professional, and other communities and groups.
    • Assist Coalition Finance Directors in maintaining donor relationships.
    • Perform research to identify prospective new major donors and raisers and work to re-engage lapsed donors.
    • Create and manage a tracking system for all donors.
    • Create and manage a finance email program to keep major donors informed and engaged.
    • Providing support to Coalition Finance Directors as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
    • 5-7 years of related work experience.
    • Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
    • Strong major donor fundraising skills.
    • Strong and engaging interpersonal skills.
    • Management experience required.
    • Possess strong communication skills across multiple platforms.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in Google Suite and NGP.
    • Political campaign experience and event planning experience is required.
    • Some travel required.

The Finance Coalitions Deputy Director position will require travel, which could be up to 15% of the time.

The starting salary for the Finance Coalitions Deputy Director position is $100,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time, exempt position that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2024.
