POSITION SUMMARY

The Tissue Recovery Data & Compliance Coordinator must be dedicated to supporting the mission of the Donor Network West. This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing Tissue Recovery department data and developing reports to assist management in maintaining compliance, ensure accurate billing, monitoring individual and department performance metrics, and developing and implementing process improvement initiatives. The Data & Compliance Coordinator will assist with the development and implementation of corrective and preventive action plans and conducting effectiveness checks. This individual actively fosters an organizational culture that is based on collaboration, support, and constructive feedback and values personal accountability and excellence. This role provides input as needed into policy development and other organizational decisions.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for conducting internal audits to ensure DNW’s compliance to all state, federal, and accrediting agency regulations, and standards and DNW SOPs.
    • Gather and input tissue recovery performance data which includes error reports, tissue yields, culture reports and other applicable data.
    • Ensures occurrences are addressed in a timely manner, actions plans are established, and feedback is provided, to ensure proper closure of occurrences.
    • Track metrics/KPIs, as well as audit findings to assist departmental management in identifying opportunities for process improvement and performance management.
    • Collaborates with the Finance department, Business Intelligence department, and Tissue Processors to build and maintain finance reports to ensure accurate and timely billing.
    • Creates, maintains, and updates SOPs and job aids as needed.
    • Initiates and participates in quality improvement projects.
    • Works with Tissue Recovery Leadership Team to continuously assess and improve Tissue Recovery strategies and process using lean methodology to conduct process mapping, waste identification, gap analysis, and opportunities for standardization.

QUALIFICATIONS

    • Preferred Certification: Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) certification in addition to required education.
    • Preferred Professional Experience: Auditing experience in regulated or certified industry. Healthcare environment preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or equivalent education/work experience.
$37.11 - $46.39 an hour
