About This Opportunity:

The Engineering Manager (EM) plays a pivotal role in enabling technical teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality software. As a manager of engineers, this role blends people leadership, delivery coordination, architectural oversight, and cross-functional alignment. While the EM is not expected to contribute code regularly, technical credibility, decision-making support, and guidance on delivery quality are critical to success. This role is foundational in our management career track and builds directly on experience gained from the Tech Lead role. It focuses on growing teams, sustaining high-quality delivery, and creating the conditions for engineers to thrive. The role will manage one of the extraction teams responsible for decommissioning part of a monolith service to many microservices in Golang, and later manage the development of new functionalities using Docebo's stack.

    • Influence product direction by collaborating with product managers on technically complex areas, validating assumptions, and co-shaping requirements.
    • Own the integrity, accuracy, and trustworthiness of engineering metrics, ensuring visibility, actionability, and alignment with business goals.
    • Maintain clarity of team direction, ensuring that everyone—internal and external to the team—is consistently aware of the squad's next 4 months of priorities and commitments.
    • Relentlessly make work visible, promoting transparency in progress, blockers, decisions, and ownership across all activities.
    • Manage performance expectations and contribute to evaluations using clear indicators and feedback loops.
