About This Opportunity:

At Docebo Data Services our mission is to help internal teams get the most out of the data platform. We are looking for an exceptional Data Architect passionate about data, who can think and act globally, having the ability to contribute to fostering effective innovations in the industry. 

You will be working with a team of data engineers, data scientists, and business and tech-savvy professionals leveraging on top-notch technologies to extend the potential of our analytics products in terms of data integrity, scalability, and availability.

As a Database Administrator, you will be part of the Data Strategy Team and you will be in charge of managing and supporting the Docebo data architecture to maintain database integrity and ensure scalability of our systems.

Reports to: Director of Data Strategy
Location: Hybrid Biassono/Milan, or Remote Italy.

Responsibilities

    • Manage Database Servers: Oversee database servers to ensure optimal performance and uptime
    • Database Maintenance and Updates: support the design, implementation, and updating of database systems, including system upgrades
    • Ensure Data Integrity: perform massive uploads and updates of data if / when required
    • Performance Tuning: monitor and optimize database performance
    • Backup and Recovery: develop and manage backup and recovery strategies to protect data against loss or corruption
    • Regularly document the technical choices and procedures 
    • Troubleshooting and Support: diagnose and resolve database issues, providing support to internal teams as needed
    • Scalability Planning: plan and implement strategies to ensure the scalability of database systems in line with business growth
    • Collaboration and Communication: work closely with data architects, data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to support data-driven initiatives and communicate effectively.

Requirements:

    • 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with MySQL
    • Experience with other RDBMs platforms.
    • Experience with NoSQL databases.
    • Experience of Amazon AWS.
    • Knowledge of DevOps and IaC tools and methodologies, e.g. Terraform.
    • Experience with CI/CD technologies.
    • Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python, etc).
    • Ability to prioritize and cope with last-minute changes while under pressure.
    • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

Nice to have:

    • Working with Spark and Snowflake will be considered as a plus.
