General Description:
This position will join an interdisciplinary team to drive wide breath of research projects (spanning from infrared detector materials and devices to qubits and superconducting single photon detectors). The candidate will serve as an integration engineer, interfacing between the clean room and electrooptical testing teams, expected to carry out hands-on inspection and process flow designs.
Essential Duties:
Assist in the manufacturing of III-V detector materials.
Hands-on semiconductor wafer fabrication in a Class 10 cleanroom.
Perform, develop and refine fabrication processes.
Inspect product at critical steps.
Troubleshoot and resolve process problems.
Work closely with senior technical staff to perform experiments and document experimental findings.
Collect and analyze experimental data.
Required Skills:
Technical education or 3+ years experience in hands-on processing of semiconductor devices.
Experience with wafer handling (RIE, wet etch, lithography, ALD, PECVD, plating, metal and dielectric deposition, etc) and/or metrology (optical microscope inspection, SEM, profilometry, AFM) is a plus.
Processes associated with semiconductor device and IC fabrication; strong observation and documentation skills; and communication. Productivity software such as Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
Required Education:
BS in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a related field, OR 3+ years experience in a related field.
Physical Requirements:
Dexterity in handing individual dies and wafers is essential.
Must be sufficiently mobile to work within confined spaces and have both visual and hearing acuity.
Must be able to work within a class 10 Cleanroom.
Must be able to work safely with and around potentially toxic and hazardous materials, chemicals and gases.
Must be able to work with little supervision and be a strong team player.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $74,300 - $89,100 + bonus + benefits.
