Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art.
HRL has opened the Vision Systems Lab with the mission to take HRL technical innovations directly to market through the build and delivery of disruptive products. Our product portfolio is focused on IR sensors for aerospace and defense applications. This role is to work as part of a multidisciplinary team bridging interfaces and acting as the glue between the various expertise.
Essential Duties:
Experience in system architecture and system engineering processes & techniques.
Translation of customer needs into requirements to which systems can be effectively architected/designed; along with impact assessment to requirement changes.
Planning and implementation of system verification programs to ensure the system, as designed and built, will meet the specified requirements.
Development and execution of risk management programs.
A demonstrated track record of teamwork and collaboration.
Strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
Required Skills:
Experience delivering components to DoD and NASA standards.
Proficiency in data and statistical analysis.
Understanding of IR camera sensors, their constituent sub-components, and intended use.
Familiarly with radiometric, optical, or electrical device testing.
Familiarity with wafer fabrication, packaging, microelectronic components design, or camera system design.
Working knowledge of product lifecycle management and configuration control.
Experience in transitioning technology from research and development to small volume production.
Required Education:
3+ year experience in component and device technology R&D. Formal training and hands on experience in one of the following disciplines; Systems Engineering, Physics, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mathematics.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $128,900 - $157,900 + bonus + benefits.
