AI Software Engineer

Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art. 

Essential Duties:
Develop and manage the AI lifecycle on AI projects.
Build Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) environments, perform synthetic and real-world data collection/curation, and interface with scientists and PI/PMs performing AI research and algorithm development.
Plan, implement, and sustain strong software engineering processes on multiple AI-centric software and modelling projects. 
Develop and track metrics for experiments and performance over time, integrate subsystems, deploy and monitor success.

Required Skills:
3+ years in AI software engineering. 
Experience and familiarity with Python, C++, PyTorch, Tensorflow, Agile software development tools and techniques, self-hosted AI software services, e.g. Weights and Balances (wandb), GitLab CI/CD, GitLab runners, Docker/containerization.

Required Education:
Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred.

Special Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship.
Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000 - $264,000 + bonus + benefits.
