Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work with the team making the world's fastest gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor devices. Assist with research and development projects on novel RF semiconductor technologies for next-generation commercial and military applications. The RF Device Technologies group matures existing GaN processes and develops the next generation. We need an engineer to assist leaders in the field with device testing, data analysis and device layout (CAD). Must be able to work well in a creative team environment and possess excellent initiative and analytical and communication skills.

Growth opportunities include running complex device and thermal simulation tools, developing new test structures and device inspection via SEM. 

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: 
Interest and experience with RF device measurement and semiconductor simulation or fabrication.
Familiarity with RF semiconductor devices thru coursework or intern/job experience.
CAD layout and Python or other programming skills.
Experience running simulation tools such as COMSOL, Ansys, Silvaco or similar.
Experience with GaN HEMTs and related materials is a plus.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: 
Able to analyze and summarize data clearly.
Able to produce technical presentations and reports, and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Skilled in data analysis, programming and presenting.
Familiarity with RF semiconductor devices.
Must be able to perform tasks safely in a lab environment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
US Citizenship Required.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 - $101,000 + bonus + benefits.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
