About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to join our accounting team. As an Accounting Manager, you are responsible for our revenue recognition procedures and inventory accounting. The role requires a high level of technical accounting proficiency, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to relate accounting entries to procedures in the field (and vice versa). This position will report to the VP of Finance/Controller. Work is anticipated to be performed both at the Oakland Office (M-TH) and remotely (F). 

$120,000 - $150,000 a year
Key Responsibilities
·        Responsible for timely completion of month and year-end financial reporting close
·        Prepare account reconciliations and manual journal entries
·        Responsible for monthly close process for inventory, COGS, landed cost and related inventory variance and accrual accounts
·        Partner with Operations on the execution of the cycle count process for inventory at the physical locations
·        Partner with Engineering to implement inventory module in NetSuite
·        Understand and review sales tax and VAT rules to ensure the compliance with the local tax agencies
·        Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement and risks
·        Providing management with information key to the decision-making process
·        Lead GL team including hiring, training and performance evaluations
·        Assist in annual audit and tax reporting
·        Ad hoc projects and analyses as needed
 
Requirements
·        Minimum of 3 years of work experience as an Accounting Manager
·        Excellent computer skills; experience in NetSuite, Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
·        E-Commerce industry experience, a plus
·        CPA, a plus
·        Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
