About the Role
As Head of Marketing you will be responsible for leading Dolls Kill’s marketing strategy from acquisition through retention.  Working closely with the CEO and management team the role encompasses performance marketing, brand marketing and retention activities across channels.  The ideal candidate is a leader/doer that has broad hands on digital marketing experience and a proven track record of executing and building strong teams.  The role represents a unique opportunity to accelerate the growth of an already rapidly growing brand with a passionate cult following.

Responsibilities

    • Set marketing vision; understand the Dolls Kill customer and our unique value proposition; harness unique creativity of the brand and translate into strategic marketing efforts
    • Understand current infrastructure and capabilities, develop roadmap for building upon to execute integrated marketing strategy
    • Collaborate closely with the merchandising, creative, and finance teams to plan, execute and measure acquisition and retention campaigns
    • Define performance marketing acquisition budgets across channels, launch and manage campaigns with an obsessive focus on experimentation, measurement and incrementality
    • Grow organic awareness, chart path to accelerate social channel, organic search and other organic impressions
    • Experiment with brand marketing activities with a focus on defining and measuring success
    • Optimize customer lifetime value with data driven approach to cross channel CRM; work with BI, development and creative teams to power segmented and personalized communications across channels
    • Build and lead a world class marketing team; train, coach and mentor

Requirements

    • 7+ years of relevant experience; direct online acquisition experience required, eCommerce experience a strong plus
    • Expert knowledge of digital marketing channels and measurement methodologies
    • Strategic marketer skilled at adapting messaging and creative to targeted audiences
    • Great communicator, team builder with strong leadership skills; ability to collaborate across teams
    • Exceptionally analytical; love large data sets, expert in Excel (SQL a plus); adept at testing, learning and explaining results in detail with attribution in mind
    • A startup person; ability to operate in an early stage environment that requires one to be hands on with large scope
    • Degree in Marketing or other business field; MBA a plus
