Position Summary:
The primary purpose of the Housekeeping Dispatcher position is to assist in running the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility and as may be directed by the Housekeeping Management to ensure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Responsible for making daily assignments for all attendants (AM and PM)
·         Answers telephone in a prompt and courteous manner.
·         Ensures all assignments are fair and reasonable.
·         Ensures all calls are logged and dispatched immediately.
·         Monitors and responds to dispatch radio.
·         Dispatches guest/front desk/supervisor calls to appropriate parties.
·         Maintains all housekeeping logs.
·         Reconciles boards and keys at end of shift.
·         Completes attendance report on late or absent employees.
·         Continually communicates with Front Office and Supervisors to verify status of all guest rooms.
·         Inputs in computer to maintain accurate and up-to-date room status information.
·         Making sure guest calls are completed within the appropriate time.
·         Calling in or off staff due to short term changes in occupancy
·         Coordination and delivery of guest requests.
·         Monitoring room arrivals to prioritize guests.
·         Responsible for assigning attendants radio and keys.
·         Reports any maintenance issues found by Supervisors, Managers, and Attendants.
·         Ready to assist in any way to ensure the efficiency and smooth running of the Housekeeping Department
·         Always promotes and applies teamwork skills.
·         Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance.
·         Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and fellow employees.
·         Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards.
·         Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area.
·         All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
·         High school preferred.
·         1-year applicable custodial experience.
·         Demonstrated quality interpersonal communication skills.
·         Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
·         Work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
·         Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
·         Attention to detail and skilled organization.
·         Strong supervisory skills, ability to designate responsibilities.
·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.
·         Basic computer knowledge.
·       Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screen.

Working Conditions:
Typical resort/hotel type setting. This individual may be exposed from time to time to inclement weather; potentially dangerous pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers; equipment movement hazards; misdirected golf balls. Injury may result because of exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed at all times.

Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to:
·         Read and write (English)
·         Communicate verbally with staff members with or without the use of two-way radios.
·         Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions
·         Visually inspect all work areas
·         Operate vehicles and equipment for several hours at a time
·         Perform mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
·         Retrieve, read and interpret information from technical sources
·         Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time
·         Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly
