As the Distribution Manager at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, you'll lead the team that keeps everything moving behind the scenes. You'll manage our distribution and shipping operations, ensuring that every department receives what they need when they need it. Your leadership will drive a team of drivers and shipping clerks who handle everything from resort deliveries to guest shipments. You'll be the person who figures out better routes, solves shipping problems, and ensures our world-class resort runs smoothly from a logistics standpoint.

Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. The resort is also home to an award-winning par-3 course, Bandon Preserve. A second par-3 course, Shorty's, opened in 2024. The two short courses are 'Courses with a Mission,' with all net proceeds funding the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation. The Foundation supports communities along the South Coast of Oregon.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build systems that work. You'll create and improve processes for shipping, distribution, and delivery that your team can follow and build upon. When routes aren't efficient or shipments are delayed, you'll figure out why and fix it.
- Lead people, not just manage them. You'll supervise distribution drivers and shipping clerks. This means real coaching, performance reviews, and helping people develop their skills while maintaining high service standards.
- Coordinate across the entire resort. You'll work with Inventory Control, Purchasing, Retail, E-commerce, and resort outlets to ensure seamless product flow. You'll also manage relationships with shipping partners like FedEx, UPS, and specialized services like ShipSticks.
- Optimize delivery operations. You'll create delivery schedules, plan efficient routes, and manage our fleet to maximize service coverage while controlling costs. You'll use data to forecast demand and improve performance.
- Ensure compliance and safety. You'll maintain compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements while keeping the distribution center organized and operating efficiently.
- Solve problems in real-time. You'll maintain visibility into shipments, track metrics, and handle exceptions quickly to keep resort operations running smoothly.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- You have real logistics experience. A bachelor's degree helps, but we care more about your 5+ years in warehouse or distribution work, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. You've managed people, optimized routes, and understand what it takes to run efficient distribution operations.
- You're a hands-on leader. You can coach team members, set performance expectations, and create training plans. You're comfortable working alongside your team when needed and driving a culture of service and accountability.
- You understand systems and technology. You're proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, comfortable with shipping platforms, and ideally have experience with Warehouse Management Systems. You can use data to make decisions and improve operations.
- You communicate well and solve problems. You can coordinate with multiple departments, manage vendor relationships, and present analysis clearly. You handle multiple priorities under pressure and aren't afraid to tackle complex logistics challenges.
- You have budget management experience. You've managed operational costs and understand how to balance service levels with efficiency. Experience in hospitality or resort logistics is a plus but not required.
