As the Common Grounds Landscaper at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, you'll be the person who keeps our staff housing areas looking as impressive as our golf courses. While guests experience the manicured beauty of our championship courses, you'll ensure our team members come home to equally well-maintained landscapes. Your work with hand tools, small power equipment, and attention to detail will create outdoor spaces that reflect the same standards of excellence we're known for throughout the resort.

About Bandon Dunes Golf Resort:
Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. The resort is also home to an award-winning par-3 course, Bandon Preserve and the new Shorty's opened in 2024. The two short courses are 'Courses with a Mission,' with all net proceeds funding the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation. The Foundation supports communities along the South Coast of Oregon.

Beyond premier golf, guests delight in a variety of dining options at Bandon Dunes’ collection of restaurants. Whether you're looking to enjoy locally-sourced, Pacific-Northwest cuisine accompanied by an award-winning wine list, or prefer kicking back in a Scottish-style setting with traditional pub fare and local microbrews, there is something for everyone.

Working at Bandon Dunes is a dream for golf fans, outdoor enthusiasts, and hospitality professionals alike. The Bandon Dunes team works together to create trips of a lifetime for our guests. We are passionate stewards of our resort, our community, and our environment. As an endlessly curious group, we ask questions, share ideas, and always look for a better way. With a hard-working attitude, we help guide our guests through their pure golf experience, immersed in Oregon’s natural beauty and away from the demands of daily life.

What You'll Do:

    • Maintain landscapes that matter. You'll handle weeding, mowing, moss removal, and gutter cleaning across our staff housing locations. This isn't just basic yard work—you're maintaining the living environment for the people who make our resort exceptional.
    • Master the full range of landscape tasks. From road repair and path remediation to planting, pruning, and trimming, you'll handle the complete spectrum of grounds maintenance. Tree and gorse removal, fertilization, and garden bed management are all part of keeping these areas pristine.
    • Take care of your tools like a professional. You'll inspect equipment before and after each use, clean everything properly, make minor adjustments, and report any problems to our mechanic. Your tools are your lifeline, and treating them right means they'll be ready when you need them.
    • Work as part of a team. You'll collaborate with various staff members using mostly hand tools and small power equipment, plus small work vehicles when needed. Everyone depends on each other to maintain our high standards.

What We're Looking For:

    • You have landscaping experience. We prefer at least one year of landscaping experience. If you've worked in golf course maintenance or similar landscaping, even better—you understand what quality outdoor spaces should look like.
    • You can drive safely and legally. A valid Oregon driver's license with a clean driving record that meets our safety policies is non-negotiable. You'll be operating vehicles and equipment, so safety matters.
    • You communicate well and solve problems. You can work with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks under pressure, and maintain your commitment to excellence even when things get hectic. A positive attitude and professional appearance matter in all situations.
    • You're physically capable. This is outdoor work that requires reading, writing, communicating with staff, following instructions, and visually inspecting work areas. You'll walk on uneven surfaces, use ladders safely, and handle the physical demands of landscape maintenance.

Perks and Benefits For Full Time Employees:

    • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Enjoy a well-rounded benefits package that covers your health, wellness, and financial future.
    • Paid Time Off: Take the time you need to relax and recharge with our PTO plan.
    • Free Golf Privileges: Tee off at some of the most iconic courses in the world with complimentary golf access.
    • Quarterly Incentives: When our team meets resort-wide performance goals, we get rewarded.
    • Complimentary Lunch: Stay energized with a complimentary lunch in our Staff Cafe during your shift.
    • Resort Discounts: Save on dining and merchandise throughout the resort.
    • Supportive Work Environment: Be part of a team that supports your growth and success, with opportunities to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere.
    • Career Growth: Take advantage of continuous training and development opportunities to advance your career.
If you're someone who takes pride in creating beautiful outdoor spaces and enjoys working in one of Oregon's most stunning coastal settings, we'd like to hear from you. This role reports to our Resident Housing Manager and offers the chance to contribute to a world-class resort environment while maintaining the spaces where our exceptional team members call home.
