Position Description
Position:                       Ball Person
Reports To:                    Director of Residences, Facilities, & Lodging
Department:                 Director of Operations - Sedge Village

Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of a Ball Person is to retrieve balls during practice sessions and games, as well as help with other tasks such as setting up equipment and cleaning up after practices or games.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Assist players with retrieving balls during practice and games.
·         Maintain cleanliness of equipment and the playing area.
·         Fill water bottles for players as needed.
·         Hand out towels to players during breaks in play.
·         Run errands for coaching staff or players as needed.
·         Set up chairs and tables for events.
·         Fold and stack chairs properly after use.
·         Carry any heavy equipment that needs to be moved.
·         Keep the locker room clean and organized.
·         Make sure all the balls are properly inflated.
·         Help with any on-court drills during practice.
·         Act as a go-between for the coach and players if necessary.
·         Laundry duty – make sure all the team’s towels and uniforms are clean.

Qualifications:
·         Ability to retrieve balls quickly and accurately. 
·         Knowledge of the sport, rules, regulations, etiquette preferred.
·         Ability to remain calm under pressure, as there can be a lot of pressure during live sporting events.
·         Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations
·         Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
·         Ability to work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
