As a Server in the morning, you will be an integral part of our dining team, responsible for delivering top-notch service and genuine hospitality to our members and guests.
About Bandon Dunes Golf Resort: Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Southern Oregon coast near the charming community of Bandon. Bandon Dunes boasts 5 of the top 16 public golf courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. In addition, our award-winning par-3 golf course, Bandon Preserve, directly supports the resort’s grant-making department, the Wild Rivers Coast Alliance. The Foundation supports communities along the South Coast of Oregon. Beyond premier golf, guests enjoy a variety of dining options across Bandon’s 9 restaurants.
Bandon Dunes is also growing. Ghost Tree Grill, Bandon’s newest dining experience, will open this fall. A new par-3 golf course, Shorty’s, is under development and will further enhance the resort’s charitable giving when it opens.

🍽️ Responsibilities that Await You:
- Providing immediate attention to all members/guests upon seating, warmly greeting them and distributing menus.
- Answering questions and suggesting menu items while guests decide upon their order.
- Taking member/guest food and drink orders and conveying any special cooking instructions to the kitchen.
- Assembling food on trays, procuring items from each station as necessary.
- Serving meals, placing dishes in front of each person, and serving from the left.
- Checking back with guests to ensure satisfaction, replenishing water and butter as necessary.
- Removing soiled dishes as guests finish their meals. • Suggesting and serving dessert, coffee, and after-dinner drinks.
- Verifying the accuracy of prices, taxes, tips, and other charges on checks and presenting bills to guests.
- Handling all cash and credit cards according to standard operating procedures.
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of tables, dining room, and bus station.
- Promptly reporting any complaints to the supervisor. • Performing side work, clean-up, and closing duties as assigned.
- Preparing for opening/shift changes and/or closing according to company procedures.
- Attending pre-meal meetings as requested.
- Turning in signed tip declaration form weekly (where applicable).
- Performing mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Retrieving, reading, and interpreting information from technical sources. • Performing other duties as appropriate.
💪 Qualifications: To thrive in this role, you should have experience serving in a fine dining setting, a positive attitude, and the ability to rise and shine; our breakfast shift can start at 5 am.
- Previous experience as a server for at least one year is preferred.
- Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems, efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision, and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.
🌞 Working Conditions:
- Work primarily indoors in a restaurant/lounge environment, with some outdoor work involving patio and on-course service.
- You will be exposed to sharp utensils, extremely hot stoves and grills, sharp and rapid equipment movements, hot food, and potentially dangerous chemicals and solvents daily.
