Your Role
- Design, develop, and maintain game economy systems and mechanics that provide engaging experiences for players
- Oversee the implementation of the economy design, such as item balancing and pricing, in-game shop and currency development, and other micro-transactions
- Design and implement monetization strategies to maximize player engagement and revenue
- Analyze player data to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions about game design
- Write clear and concise technical design documents to communicate game economies to the development team
- Collaborate with other departments to develop game features and content
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in game economy design
Must Have
- 4+ years of experience in game design and economy design
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in game economy systems, and monetization strategies
- Strong understanding of what makes for a fun and engaging gameplay experience
- Passion for playing video games and staying up-to-date on industry trends
Good to Have
- Experience with scripting, game engines, and game development software
- Knowledge of game design principles, including UX, user acquisition, and monetization
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Experience with project management tools and techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
