Dribbble helps some of the world’s best design-forward companies including Apple, Airbnb, IDEO, Facebook, Google, Dropbox, Slack, Shopify, and Lyft get exposure for their design teams and hire expert creatives.

About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced UI Designer with solid Front-End chops to join our remotely distributed team. We are searching for someone with exceptional visual and UI design skills . The UI Designer will be responsible for keeping the needs of the business in mind while serving up lovely user experiences. That means knowing the community inside and out, communicating user needs to the rest of the team, crafting a consistent look and feel, and generally approaching design problems with thoughtful energy.

You’ll succeed in this role if you use data and user research to solve problems; you think conceptually; you have a basic understanding of the technical implications of design decisions; you are collaborative and process-driven.

Responsibilities:

    • Collaborating with the product team to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience.
    • Executing all visual design stages from concept to final integration with engineering
    • Conceptualizing original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
    • Creating, improving, and using wireframes, user flows, process flows and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
    • Eliciting constructive feedback and interpreting that feedback into design solutions.

Requirements:

    • 5+ years of professional UI design experience.
    • Worked remote or want to give it a shot.
    • Member of Dribbble and been active in the community.
    • Great visual chops and a focus on simple, clear, responsive UI.
    • A good understanding of front end development skills, and a solid working understanding of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Proficiency in Sketch or Figma, sketching ideas quickly and iterating.
    • Ownership: the Dribbble community will depend on you to deliver a quality experience. You feel responsible for creating an excellent, end-to-end platform that supports the needs of our users.
    • Comfort with data: you know when you don't know enough to make a design decision, and you seek out answers.
    • An interest in exploration: you think about what to build now and what to build in the future.
    • A solid perspective on how users engage with online communities.Made useful prototypes and wireframes (send us samples!) and experience working with style guides.
    • A way with icons or illustration.
We encourage you to apply if you have any combination of the listed skills and this sounds like a job you'll love.
