About the Role
Drivemode is seeking technically adept candidates with exceptional problem-solving skills for the role of a part-time IT Support Technician at our Redwood City office.
Get ready to rock and roll as you step into the spotlight as Drivemode's very first IT Support Technician in the USA! Take charge as the focal point for all IT-related inquiries from US-based users. You will be responsible for maintaining the optimal performance of end-point devices and executing various technical tasks within a modern infrastructure built upon zero-trust security principles.
Our IT Support Technicians are not only proficient in technology but also possess strong interpersonal abilities. You'll engage with colleagues across diverse departments and interact with executives. Your capacity to comprehend technical requirements, address issues, and implement solutions will be vital.
Responsibilities
- Prepare endpoint devices for new employees, ensuring they have the necessary tools and configurations for a smooth start.
- Provide technical assistance during both employee onboarding and offboarding processes, guaranteeing a seamless transition.
- Deliver comprehensive IT support in our hybrid work environment, encompassing remote assistance, cloud-based tool training for Drivemode employees to boost productivity and collaboration, and meeting service level agreements while ensuring user satisfaction through timely support ticket resolution.
- Assist in the installation and setup of remote management tools on smartphones and laptops, facilitating efficient device management.
- Configure and maintain audio/visual equipment, contributing to the success of presentations and virtual meetings.
- Support and promote company IT policies, ensuring compliance and best practices across the organization.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace administration, contributing to effective management of cloud-based productivity tools.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in IT support, showcasing your proficiency in troubleshooting and technical issue resolution.
- Proficient in supporting both macOS and Windows devices, with a deep understanding of their respective ecosystems.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, enabling you to identify and address complex technical challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating effective time management and organizational skills.
- Adaptability to thrive in a multicultural work environment, valuing diversity and effectively collaborating with a wide range of colleagues.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with managing systems in a Mobile Device Management (MDM) environment, contributing to efficient device control and security.
- Scripting experience for automating administrative tasks, streamlining operations, and improving efficiency.
- Knowledge of maintaining network devices, and ensuring the stability and reliability of our IT infrastructure.
