We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join us on our mission to save lives by helping us create innovative, compelling, scalable products. As a key member of the DroneSense product team, you will focus primarily on inbound product management for our Airbase platform - the critical foundation that enables public safety agencies to manage their entire drone operations ecosystem.
80% of your time will be dedicated to driving product execution for Airbase, which encompasses fleet management, pilot management and training, maintenance, and backend integrations supporting the rest of the platform. 20% of your time will focus on outbound product management activities including go-to-market strategies, product marketing, and customer evangelism. Public safety agencies throughout the US and across the world depend on this essential component of the DroneSense platform to deliver simplicity, security, and transparency in their drone operations.
What You'll Do
Primary Focus - Airbase Inbound Product Management:
Core Product Development:
Drive product development for comprehensive drone fleet oversight, asset tracking, and operational readiness features
Lead product initiatives for pilot certification tracking, assignment workflows, and performance management
Shape training module functionality, certification workflows, and competency tracking systems
Develop maintenance scheduling, compliance tracking, and asset lifecycle management features
Build and maintain critical reporting functionality critical for customer drone program success.
Own admin tools, user permissions, agency configurations, and system-wide settings
Product Execution & Delivery:
Manage, define and communicate with stakeholders about Airbase feature releases
Dig into feature requests and make sure we are solving the right problems for fleet and pilot management workflows
Define requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteriaValidate that each implementation aligns with the requirements and desired outcomes
Partner with engineering teams including initial feature planning, prioritization, product roadmap analysis and overall delivery timeline for Airbase initiatives
Analyze product usage statistics and patterns for Airbase features and identify new metrics for success
Assess technical risks across the Airbase platform and provide mitigation options
Secondary Focus - Outbound Product Management (20% of role):Go-to-Market & Product Marketing:
Enable go-to-market plans and product launch communications for Airbase features
Support product marketing initiatives, including competitive analysis and positioning
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop compelling product messaging and collateral
Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the drone and fleet management industry
Customer Engagement & Evangelism:
Support customer-facing activities including demos, presentations, and product evangelism
Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert
Help develop and maintain product marketing materials, and success stories
Partner with customer success teams to gather feedback and drive product adoption
Represent the product at events, and customer meetingsBuild and present high quality product documentation and training for new features
What would make me a good candidate for this role?
- 6+ years of experience as a product manager
- Demonstrated success delivering SaaS products
- Proven record of successful product launches in a fast-paced and high growth environment
- Strong technical acumen in SaaS, web, and secure products
- Proficiency with Agile, Continuous Integration/Development, DevOps SDLC models
- Strong self-motivation and ownership in delivering effective, user-centered high quality software products
- Help first mentality and collaborative team player who can lead and influence cross-functional teams
- Experience managing various stakeholders and building cross-functional relationships across the business
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- A low-ego, team-first mentality. You know when to get your hands dirty and when to lead through influence
Ideal Candidate
- Excited about working with drones, robotics, and first responders
- Passionate about operational excellence and helping organizations manage complex workflows efficiently
- Experience in aviation, public safety, and/or unmanned aerial systems
- Experience with enterprise software development and API integrations
- Experience with fleet management or asset management systemsGIS experience
- Background in training management or certification systems
