You’ll be a key thought partner to the Head of Finance and work closely with teams across capital markets, accounting, sourcing, legal, marketing, and data. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a passion for creating clarity from complexity. They thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy building from scratch, and can communicate financial insights with precision and confidence to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

You Will:

    • Partner with the Head of Finance to build the FP&A function from the ground up, including planning cycles, reporting cadences, and tools.
    • Develop and maintain the company’s financial model, supporting annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term strategic planning.
    • Own monthly reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including variance analysis and performance insights across revenue, cost, and cash flows.
    • Analyze performance and cohort analyses of music rights assets—partnering with the data, sourcing, and royalties teams to understand acquisition returns and portfolio trends.
    • Collaborate on investor materials and board-level financial presentations.
    • Build KPIs, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses to drive operational and strategic decision-making.
    • Support process automation and improvements in reporting, cash flow visibility, and internal controls.
    • Provide analytical support for ad hoc special projects, including revenue yield enhancement, financing strategies, and international expansion.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required.
    • MBA, CFA, or CPA a plus but not required.
    • 5+ years of experience in FP&A at a high-growth startup, investment banking, private equity, or media/entertainment finance.
    • Strong modeling and analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statements and cash flow dynamics.
    • Expert in excel / powerpoint (and G Suite equivalent). Familiarity with planning tools and reporting systems (e.g., QBO / NetSuite, Looker, Tableau).
    • Comfort working cross-functionally and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Self-starter mindset with a bias toward execution and accountability.
    • Experience with IP, royalty-based, or content-driven businesses is a plus. Experience operating in fast-paced and vague early-stage business environments.
