Create the future of travel with us
Whether it’s to visit the people closest to us, starting an exciting adventure, or a career-defining business trip, travel is an essential part of our lives. Yet we've all experienced the aches and pains of getting to our destination. Today, more than 4 billion airline passengers rely on technology that hasn't kept up with the expectations of the modern connected traveller.
That’s why we’ve started to rebuild the infrastructure that underpins the travel industry. We’re on a mission to unravel travel — simplifying systems and building the tools that will make the future of travel effortless.
We were part of Y Combinator S18's cohort and we are backed Benchmark, Blossom, Index Ventures and Kima Ventures. A fantastic set of investors that has helped build some of the world's largest companies.
Our team in London is growing and we’re looking for talented people to join us on our journey.
Cars at Duffel
Cars is the latest vertical we’re preparing to launch at Duffel, after Flights and Stays. As a $100B+ market, car rentals is often the final piece of a number of leisure or corporate trips. Our goal is to deliver a product that offers the same experience our customers have come to expect with Duffel: simple, well-documented APIs and powerful abstractions to build an outstanding car rental booking experience without having to know or understand the complexity of the industry.
What you’ll do
As the first and only Product Manager on the Cars team, your role is to ensure that we build the best Cars API product on the market and successfully launch that new vertical. You’ll develop a deep understanding of the car rental industry, identify pain points for both sellers and suppliers, set the product strategy, scope new features and help drive prioritisation and execution with Engineering.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision: Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Cars Product, aligning it with Duffel's overall business and product strategy
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth product delivery and successful adoption.
Performance Monitoring: Define key metrics, track product performance, and iterate on features based on data, customer feedback, and business objectives.
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate in both written and spoken form. With the ability to structure your ideas logically, communicate trade-offs, and explain complex technical concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Execution: You can drive execution and get things done, working with your team's engineers and other stakeholders - internal and external - to get a project over the line
Bonus if you have experience in travel, particularly cars.
What you can expect from us:
