Manage and monitor  cost engineering functions involving budget preparation, cost control, forecasting and cost reporting. Produce and manage resources planning tools and monitoring systems across multifunctional departments.

Key Responsibilities

    • Create and maintain production resource plans
    • Create and maintain labor hour projections and plans
    • Create and maintain project schedules
    • Ensure estimate data is distributed to departments and reported on
    • Create and maintain production benchmark data for labor hours and production metrics
    • Cost reporting data in conjunction with accounting department
    • Monitoring cost and commitment through requisition and invoice review
    • Devising strategies to overcome roadblocks or delays through various methods such as using industry related technical knowledge, innovating short cuts or alternative ways, improvising with available resources, scheduling overtime to meet the deadlines
    • Reporting on all operations department metrics; Production, Project Management, Quality and Supply Chain and Logistics
    • Interpersonal Management
    • Interaction with all relevant department leads to communicate project data and reporting
    • Communication to leadership team of project overruns on schedule, cost and labor hours
    • Information Management
    • Generate project progress charts and cost reports.
    • Handle cost engineering functions involving budget preparation, cost control, forecasting and cost reporting
    • Interpret contract and handle financial risk and current cost control database
    • Keep up-to-date with current technology trends and seek to implement industry best practices

Knowledge and Skills

    • Smartsheet functional use

    • Manufacturing application implementation, use and management

Experience and Qualifications

    • Degree holder in an Engineering discipline with 5-7 years working experience in engineering/manufacturing
    • Certified data analyst certification
    • Fast paced manufacturing environment
    • Management of multiple projects simultaneously
    • Start up environment
    • Manufacturing production on large scale
    • Management of data for labor force from 100+ personnel
    • Project value management of project $2mm +
    • Management of cost data $40mm +
